You did it again! You’ve finished the first month of a brand-new year. Did you create the necessary goals that are required for you to live a healthier life? Now is the time to evaluate the process. How's everything working for you? Are your actions aligning with your core values? What is your long-term vision? Let's dive into each of these questions. I challenge you to ask yourself the following.
How's everything working for you?
Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity (and I'm not talking about my man, Shaun T). Are you still doing the same thing, practicing the same habits that you have been practicing over the past year and expecting to lose weight? What would change if you did the exact opposite?
Are your actions aligning with your core values?
What do you stand for? What do you believe in? Name one core value that you can honestly say is unshakeable. Now ask yourself, "have I been walking the walk?"
What is your long-term vision?
Knowing your big, crazy and audacious vision is extremely important. Who is the person that you need to be and what do you need to do to get there?
Now that January has come to an end, this might be a good time to assess how your systems have been working for you. Using outcome-based decision making, how has everything worked for you so far? Are your daily actions and core values aligning? Do you know what your long-term vision is?
